Assembly is the annual showcase of participatory events, workshops, and presentations by PSU’s Art + Social Practice MFA cohort.
Assembly TV
The 2021 Edition of Your Favorite Co-Authored Art & Social Practice Conference!
Organized by the Portland State University Art & Social Practice MFA Program for 8 years and counting.
This year our annual conference is presented as a television station dedicated to art and social practice. “Tune in” online and join us for discussions, workshops, interactive experiences, and participatory events. Programs include a houseplant show-and-tell with People’s Plant Museum, personal landmark making with Sign Club, an exploration of the speaking arts, sheep sounds, a showcase of $100 Projects, and a brain dive from our in-house stuntman.
Come one, come all from around the globe! Opportunities abound in this online multiverse as we embrace experimental gatherings of all kinds. It might be magical! It might be strange! Attend one or all of the events! We invite you to dive into this week of events: participate, ask questions, observe, and reflect.
Captioning will be available for the entire conference. The introductory event and graduate lectures will have live ASL interpretation. If you will utilize ASL interpretation for these events, please join us in Zoom. Additionally, Carlos Reynoso’s graduate lecture will have Spanish captions.
Join us on Zoom or livestream via Youtube.
